Hey! So it’s the day before Thanksgiving and Seth and I are so excited and ready to go home to Georgia and see our family! We are flying out in the morning. We have to be at the airport at 3:30am. (Oh my goodness….) We are gonna try to go to bed early tonight in hopes that 3:30am won’t seem so early in the morning. I really hope we get some sleep. The good thing though is that we aren’t doing the Thanksgiving dinner until about 7pm tomorrow night, so we should have plenty of time to rest once we get to GA.
While we are home we are going to be recruiting some interns for Casas por Cristo. We are going to two colleges and 3 churches. Seth is going to preach at my home church Sunday and I can’t wait to hear him. He always does so good! I am also singing at two of the churches while we’re home. I haven’t sang in forever it feels like. I sure hope I can do the songs justice. 🙂
We have some really good news. We are in the process of buying our first home. We found out on Monday that the bank accepted our offer on the home and we should be closing on it around Christmas. It is really exciting buying our first home. I can’t believe it. We are definitely adults now!! HAHA! But seriously, Our God has been so faithful to us. He has constantly proven that He provides for our needs.
For the past couple weeks, Seth has been visiting families in Juarez and Acuna, who people have built for in the past and checking up on them, praying with them, and making sure the home is still in good condition. Please pray for the people of Juarez. It is getting really cold here. It even snowed Saturday night. There is still a great need for people to come and build homes. So many people are without adequate shelter to keep them warm this winter. When we get back from GA, Seth and I are taking some handmade scarves, gloves, and hats over to some families. Blankets would also be an awesome thing for us to take them. Hopefully we can get a few of those to take over as well.
As always, thank you so much for your support. Seth and I wouldn’t be able to do what we do without it. It is truly a blessing.
God bless you & have a great Thanksgiving!!
